TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A low-cost carrier under Lion group, Wings Air, has launched the Semarang-Lombok route to strengthen its domestic flight networks.
The airline’s manager for Central Java and Yogyakarta, Widi Wiyanti, said Wings Air would serve the route through Achmad Yani International Airport to Lombok International Airport.
“The flight time will be about 1 hour and 45 minutes. For a one way trip, the price is set at Rp700,000. Thus, the affordable price and short travel time will ease passengers heading to Semarang or Lombok,” said Widi on Sunday, March 25.
Wings Air will begin operating the route from Semarang at 20:20 local time and arrive in Lombok at 23:05 local time. Meanwhile, from Lombok, it will depart at 21:30 and arrive in Semarang at 22:15 local time.
“We hope this connectivity along Semarang city and Lombok Island will boost the growth of tourism, creative economy, social economy, as well as other industries and accommodate business or family meetings,” she said.
To date, Wings Air has operated at 107 commercial airports, both domestic and international ones, including Kuching and Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. As many as 353 flights are served each day supported by 54 airliners of ATR 72-500 and ATR 72-600 types.
