Jakarta Govt Deploys Team to Probe Pasar Rumput Flat Incident

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Administration participated to investigate the incident of construction at Pasar Rumput Flats, South Jakarta.
The team of the Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) was deployed directly since the first day of the incident, Sunday, March 18.
"I immediately checked into the field after the incident," said Titin Saptini, one of the members of Jakarta Manpower Supervisory, Monday 19 March.

Titin attended the press conference of the project contractor, PT Waskita Karya in Menteng Central Jakarta, about seven hours after the incident.
In the event, Titin heard the explanation directly from the Project Head of Pasar Rumput Flats I Made Aribawadana.
Made ensures the contractor will be cooperative during investigation and examination. "We always coordinate with the authorities," he said.
The project is actually not owned by Jakarta Administration, but Ministry of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR). The budget of Rp950 billion is allocated for the construction of towers.

The flats will be utilized for the relocation of affected communities of Ciliwung River normalization and revitalization of Pasar Rumput.
Head of Manpower Supervisory Khadik Triyanto mentioned some aspects of the project will be traced, starting from the implementation of work norms to K3 (Occupational Safety and Health).
Khadik claims his team members are still in the field to conduct an investigation about Pasar Rumput flats.
