Gojo Volunteers Back Jokowi in Upcoming Presidential Election

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Golkar party politician Bambang Soesatyo announced that the mission of Golkar Jokowi volunteer (Gojo) is to help President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) win the upcoming presidential election in 2019.

“Gojo is all for President Jokowi’s second term in office,” said Bambang in North Jakarta on Sunday, March 18.

Gojo was officially established on March 16 that consists of Golkar’s young party members that are also joined in the Golkar’s Youth Force (AMPG) and the young generation of Indonesia reform (AMPI).

Bambang said that the establishment of Gojo will affect the votes the party can potentially attract in the 2018 simultaneous regional head elections and 2019 legislative election.

Gojo National Volunteer Coordinator Rizal Mallarangeng said that the movement is purely volunteer-driven and is to assist Golkar’s younger members to be involved in an actual change.
