TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2018 Asian Games is less than six months away. Indonesia is still preparing to host the regional sporting event; from facilities and infrastructure as well as athletes' readiness.
On Tuesday, March 6, the government and the Asian Games Organizing Committee (INASGOC) held a closed meeting led by President Joko Widodo. According to Jokowi, the preparations in these next six months must be very effective.

"We must be 100-percent ready and there are some things that I need to emphasize," Jokowi said.
Jokowi wants the preparation to be focused on three key points. The first is the construction of sports arenas and supporting facilities, such as athletes' village. The President requested a detailed report on the constructions' progress.
Second is the technical implementation. The president said that technical implementations are not just about the opening and closing ceremonies or the implementation of the game, but also about the traffic, accommodation, consumption, travel time, as well as down to the MC's preparation.

"These are important notes for all of us in preparing for the 2018 Asian Games," the president remarked.
