Wiranto Plans Reporting to Jokowi about Baasyir, Family MCA

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Wiranto said he will report to President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo about Abu Bakar Baasyir and hoax-spreading group The Family Muslim Cyber Army or The Family MCA.
"We have formulated various things, we make a report to the president," Wiranto said after meeting with Chief of Police Tito Karnavian, TNI Commander Hadi Tjahjanto and BIN head Budi Gunawan at his office on Monday, March 5.

Tito Karnavian had refused to give a statement about the issue. "Go to the Coordinating Minister of Justice instead, please," he told reporters on the same day.
Tito also refused to give out any information about The Family Muslim Cyber Army (MCA). "There has been an official exposure from the Police Headquarters to the media," Tito said.
Wiranto will conduct a coordination meeting of institutions about the discourse of putting convicted terrorist Abu Bakar Baasyir in house arrest.
Wiranto had previously said he would give a detailed explanation about Baasyir's case after the coordination meeting. According to Wiranto, the matter of clemency and the decision whether Baasyir will be under house arrest is the President's prerogative.

Wiranto understands the will of the police to respect individuals' human rights. "But there is a balance, therefore wait, I will give a detailed explanation later," Wiranto said on Friday, March 2.
According to Wiranto the result of the coordination meeting at his ministry will be reported to President Jokowi.
