TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian travel agency association Astindo offered discounts up to 50 percent for airline tickets at Astindo Travel Fair 2018 in Jakarta Convention Center on March 2-4.
The low-cost tickets are available to four destinations with attractive prices and discounts. The flight route to Singapore costs only for Rp1 million, Bangkok at Rp2.5 million, Japan at Rp4 million, and Hong Kong at Rp2.7 million.
A visitor Anna (40) admitted that the normal price for a flight to Singapore was usually around Rp1.8 million, while the route to Japan was around Rp5.5 million. "It's much cheaper here," she said at JCC Assembly Building, Central Jakarta, Friday afternoon, March 2.
The price offered is a round-trip flight. All the ticket routes will depart from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten.
"To get the cheap tickets, visitors must have a voucher," said Astindo Travel Fair 2018 committee chairman Rudiana at a press conference in the venue.
Astindo provides 100 vouchers in a day during the exhibition and visitor can get the voucher at a special booth near the entrance. To get the voucher, visitors must have BCA credit card and show the identity card. Vouchers can be obtained for free as long as available.
Visitors then can redeem the vouchers at any travel agencies at the exhibition. "If they (visitors) run out of vouchers, they can buy tickets directly at the booth," said Rudiana.
Although the price is not as cheap as the vouchers can give, the fare is 10-15 percent cheaper than the regular price.
