Sri Mulyani to Ask Budi Karya on Flight Schedule During IMF Event

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said all flights scheduled to Bali were full during the International Monetary Fund (IMF) - World Bank Annual Meeting on October 8-14. She explained the information came from her colleagues in Washington, DC, United States.
"We will discuss the matter with Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi, on how we provide more (flight schedule), especially a week before and after (the meeting)," Sri Mulyani said at the international seminar as part event of Voyage to Indonesia ahead of IMF and World Bank meeting in Kuta, Bali, Thursday, March 1.

She expects the flights' schedule to the Bali Island to be improved considering that the week will bring about 15,000 delegates from 189 countries around the globe.
Sri will also monitor the preparation covering the hotel, the meeting place, as well as evacuation management to anticipate any emergency.
The delegates are expected to be in Bali for a week or about 10-15 days which depend on their country distance to Indonesia, including the possibility of bringing their families along.
Sri Mulyani Hoped other areas surrounding Bali, such as Lombok and Banyuwangi to be ready accommodating tourists as the delegates are predicted to visit the nearest destinations to Bali.
