AFC Cup: Spaso Scores Goal, Bali United Draws 1-1 vs Global Cebu

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali United drew 1-1 match against Filipino team, Global Cebu, in the AFC Cup 2018 Group G at Rizal Memorial Stadium, the Philippines on Tuesday, February 27.
Bali United fell behind after 24-year-old player Curt Dizon scored with a header in the 11th minute.
Bali United managed to score in the 76th minute through Ilija header "Spaso" Spasojevic by using a bait from Fadil Sausu from a corner kick.

In the game, Bali United with its best players including Spaso, Stefano Lilipaly, and Irfan Bachdim, pressed the opponent since the game begins.
The Tridatu Serdadu team, right after four minutes game, had been getting a chance through midfielder Kevin Brands kick.
Another opportunity was obtained from Irfan Bachdim, yet the goal was successfully created by Global Cebu, exactly in the 11th minute, through Curt Dizon who managed to header the ball passing the goalkeeper Wawan Hendrawan.
Bali United tried to catch up and in the 34th minute almost got a chance. However, the ball kicked by Irfan Bachdim passing the opposing goalkeeper was swept by Global Cebu defender. No more goals were created in the first half of the game.
In the second half, both teams had several chances in about 20 minutes but they could not increase the scores.
Bali United coach Widodo Cahyono Putro then included Yabes Roni and Martinus Novianto to replace Kevin Brands and Irfan Bachdim, respectively. Bali United goal finally came. In the 73rd minute, Spaso successfully scored the ball via a corner kick by the captain Fadil Sausu.

Five minutes later, Bali had a golden opportunity to beat Global Cebu through a penalty kick. However, Spaso failed to perform his duties as an executioner after his shot was blocked by the Global goalkeeper.
1-1 score lasted until the game ended. From these results, Bali United have not recorded the victory of two games in AFC 2018 Group G after its first match lost to Myanmar's representative, Yangon FC, with a score of 1-3.
