TEMPO.CO, Cirebon - Flash floods striking Cirebon Regency, West Java, took the life of a toddler died of drowning in an overflowing river.
"The victim drowned in a flooding river. The victim is Fauzi, a two-year-old boy," Cirebon Police Chief AKBP Risto Samodra said in Cirebon on Friday, Feb. 23.
Risto mentioned that the mother of the victim suspected with the floating sandals and toys of her son, but her son was not in sight. She went for help to seek her son who allegedly drowned in an overflowing river.
"The mother found his son’s ball and toys floating without her son," he said.

After three hours of search by the local residents, the police and village officials, his body was finally retrieved.
"We immediately evacuated the body to Waled General Hospital for medical treatment," he continued.
