TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Regional Secretary Saefullah assured that Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno will be present at the Sunter Lake Festival, as well as to fulfill his wishes to go swimming with Susi Pudjiastuti, Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fishery.

Sandiaga Uno is scheduled to return from an official visit to Japan the day before the festival, which is on Saturday, February 24. The Sunter Lake Festival will be held on Sunday.

Saefullah said, at the Sunter Lake Festival, Sandiaga Uno and Susi Pudjiastuti will check the air quality at Lake Sunter, not to compete with each other. "If it’s (a competition), there is a winner and loser," he said at the Nurul Iman Mosque, Senopati, Thursday, February 22.

Previously, Sandiaga claimed to be ready to match with Susi while enjoying Lake Sunter. "(for the match) Mrs. Susi plans to do paddling, while I’ll go swimming," Sandiaga said at Jakarta City Hall on Wednesday, January 3.

The swimming contest will also be held at the festival for the swimming athletes.

The match is initiated by Sandiaga Uno following Susi Pudjiastuti's statement on comparing Lake Sunter with Lake Geneva, Switzerland. Minister Susi said that Anies Baswedan and Sandiaga Uno have the power and authority to build the lake in Jakarta to be beautiful and as clean as Lake Geneva.

North Jakarta Government has been maintaining Sunter Lake before the festival. North Jakarta Mayor Husein Murad claimed that Sunter Lake area development continues to be done including providing sidewalks from the north side to the western side of the lake, lighting installations, merchant arrangements, and fishing spots relocations.
