TEMPO.CO, Klungkung - Seen from the outside, the stalls near tourism site Goa Lawah, Pesinggahan, Klungkung, Bali seems ordinary. In a semi-open building, the food stalls there offer an extraordinary fish menu with Balinese style.
Consumers can choose to get a seat or sitting cross-legged on a 'dipan' (flat couch made of wood). The location is not far from Klungkung Karangasem border. After walking along the coast around Candidasa and Padangbai in Karangasem, this stall is recommended to pay a visit.
There are several choices of stalls around Goa Lawah. I chose Lesehan Sari Baruna food stall. With all-fish menu, the best dish is fish skewer.
To make the dish, first, the fish is crashed and spiced then wrapped in lemongrass stalks. It is delicious as the spice is not too strong so the fish flavor does not stick to the tongue.
There is a full package of local specialties menu such as 'ikan pepes' (steamed or grilled fish wrapped by banana leaf) and fish balls soup with the price starts from Rp29 thousand per package. This shop is open from 06:00-18:00 local time.
In addition, close to Lesehan Sari Baruna, there is Lesehan Merta Sari which also presents a similar atmosphere. So, let’s choose and taste all-fish menu when you stop by at Goa Lawah!
