“It will be cleaned immediately,” Saefullah said Thursday, February 22.
Ahead of the Asian Games 2018 which will be held in August, sanitation and beautification of the city will be done starting from asphalt layers, cafeteria, sidewalk, lighting.
“The river guardrail from Marko's bridge to Jubile School will be an exit for athletes, it must be neat, clean, beautiful, and not smelly,” Saefullah said at Velodrome, East Jakarta today.

Saefullah said he would check the source of the smell. Actually, around the Athlete Guesthouse, there is a tempeh factory that disposes its waste directly to the river.
“We will probably clean up the upstream to ease doing the treatment, so the smell will reduce,” he said.
As for the place of the Asian Games athletes to eat, Saefullah said he would provide tents because the hall will not accommodate all the people.
