TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT Jakarta) declared the 1st and 2nd rail-based mass transport are ready to be shipped from Japan to Jakarta.
“Previously, we have already conducted a review and witnessed the testing of the trains at its factory manufacture, Toyokawa Plant owned by Nippon Sharyo, Japan,” said President Director of PT MRT Jakarta, Monday, February 19.

In the review, it ensures that the components of the MRT train can work well, in accordance with the required technical specifications.
The plan is the MRT train will be delivered from Toyokawa Plant to the port at Toyohashi City starting next week, and will be aboard on March 7.

He revealed the result of the 1st and 2nd MRT trains tests were satisfactory and all the features within the train circuit worked well, as expected.
MRT Jakarta has 16 sets of trains. The details, a set of trains consisting of six wagons. The trains will be operated using a two-level automatic operating system (GoA 2) and a communication-based train control (CBTC) signaling system, controlled from the Operation Control Center (OCC).
