Govt Expedites Construction of Three Dams in Sulawesi

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Public Works and Public Housing Ministry (PUPR) will expedite the construction of three dams in South Sulawesi one of which is Paselloreng dam.

"The construction of Paselloreng dam is targeted to complete in December 2018," PUPR Minister Basuki Hadimuljono said on Saturday (17/2).

Basuki stated that several dams whose constructions will be expedited include Paselloreng dam in WajoDistrict, Karalloe dam in Gowa District and Pamukkulu in Takalar District. "The construction of Pamukkulu dam in Takalar District has just began," he said.

Basuki is optimistic that these dams in South Sulawesi will complete on time. The reason is, he continued, the construction of these dams is included in National Strategic Projects (PSN). "It will complete faster," he said.
