TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Four trains from Semarang to Madiun are rerouted as sn impact of landslide occurring from Gundih Station to Karangsono Station in Grobogan District, Central Java.
"The four trains are Brantas, Bangunkarta, Majapahit, and Matarmaja," public relations division manager of VII Regional Operation (Daop) Bandung of state-owned railway operator Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Supriyanto said in Madiun on Saturday (17/2).
He explained that landslide materials covered the track and caused trains unable to go through.
In additions, eight trips impacted going to and from Madiun are Brantas with the route Blitar-Madiun-Semarang-Pasarsenen, Bangunkarta with the routeSurabaya-Madiun-Semarang-Gambir, Matarmaja with the route Malang-Madiun-Semarang-Pasarsenen, and Majapahit with the route Malang-Madiun-Semarang-Pasarsenen.
In order to anticipate and maintain safety of the passengers, PT KAI arranged the routes of the trains from the route Solo-Gundih-Kedungjati-Brumbung-Semarang into Solo-Gundih-Gambringan-Semarang.
