TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A 5 to 12-meter house on Pademangan Street, North Jakarta, caught fire on Saturday, Feb. 17, at 04:52 a.m. Two were found dead as they were trapped in the house.
"One victim named Ridwan (47) died in the bathroom, while the other one Margareth (66) was found on the stairs," North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency official Idrisman said on Saturday.

North Jakarta Fire and Rescue Agency suspected that rather than saving himself, Ridwan hid in the bathroom. Meanwhile, Margareth was trapped in the house in the attempt to save herself.
The cause of the fire is estimated due to short circuit. In the incident, 10 units of fire trucks and 30 firefighters were deployed. The firefighters managed to put out the fire at around 05:45 a.m.
