Breaking News: Toddler in Jakarta Found Dead after Flood

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Raffa Fadhila, 4, who was reported missing at Ciliwung River on Tuesday, December 12, was found dead at the Jembatan Merah Mangga Besar Water Gate in Central Jakarta this morning.
Raffa was a student of an early childhood education school in Jakarta. “The body was taken to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for an autopsy,” Tebet Precinct Police chief Maulana Jali Karepesina said in a press release today, Dec. 14.

Raffa accidentally fell into Ciliwung River when he was playing in the rain. “He was playing in the rain at the riverbank,” Fire Department staff told Tempo during a search.
Raffa’s parents Agus Suandi and Riana rushed to the hospital as soon as they heard the news. They confirmed that the body was Raffa.
