Jakarta Police to Investigate Setya Novanto`s Traffic Accident

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Police detectives planned to investigate Golkar Party chairman Setya Novanto relating to single-vehicle accident taking place on Permata Hijau Street, South Jakarta.

"We can (investigate him) to gain his testimony," Jakarta Police spokesperson Com. Sr. Argo Yuwono said in Jakarta on Sunday (19/11).

He confirmed that Jakarta Traffic Directorate investigators will collect information from him as a witness to explain the chronology of the collision.

However, he mentioned that the detectives must wait until Novanto gains recovery from his treatment for the accident in Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM).

At the moment, the officers have processed the accident scene to analyze the speed, the condition of the vehicle and the cause of the accident.

In addition, the police have collected information from four witnesses. They are Suwandi, Akrom, Arafik, and Hilman Mattauch.
