TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) finally arrested the suspect of e-ID graft case Setya Novanto. With such an arrest, KPK hopes Setya’s flight when he was taken into custody by investigators can serve as a lesson to anyone.
“Especially to witnesses or suspects summoned by law enforcement institution, they must comply to the summon,” KPKspokesperson Febri Diansyah said on Saturday (18/11).
On Wednesday evening (15/11) KPK decided to take in Setya Novanto by force in his residence on Wijaya XIII Street No.19 Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. However, he was not in his residence.
Until finally on Thursday (16/11), Setya had a traffic accident and was brought to Medika Permata Hijau Hospital, West Jakarta Barat. He was transferred the next day to Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital (RSCM) for KPK’s investigation. On the same day, KPK issued a warrant against Setya.
