TEMPO.CO, East Lampung - East Lampung Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) recorded 492 houses were damaged due to a tornado striking three villages in Way Jepara district on Tuesday at around 3:45 p.m. The damage ranges from minor, moderate and major damage.
Head of East Lampung BPBD Tri Pranoto explained that the damaged 492 houses are spread across Braja Asri with 83 houses, Braja Sakti with 305 houses, and Sumberejo villages with 104 houses.
Vice Regent Zaiful Bokhari stated that East Lampung administration will provide aid to the residents ranging from food, blankets and tarp.
For the damaged houses, Zaiful continued, funds will be provided to repair the houses without clearly mentioning the amount.
"We need to collect data from BPPD and Public Housing Agency. We will use emergency funds to repair the damaged houses," he said in Braja Asri Village on Wednesday.
