Setya Novanto Refuses to Sign Arrest Report

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially arrest Setya Novanto on Friday, Nov. 17. The House of Representatives Speaker named as a suspect of e-KTP graft case still refused to sign arrest report provided by KPK.

“The arrest report was signed by the investigator and two witnesses from Medika Hospital without a sign from Setya,” KPK Spokesperson Febri Diansyah confirmed on Friday, Nov. 17.

KPK investigators, Febri explained, provided denial of arrest report. Nevertheless, again, it was not signed by Setya Novanto. “Finally both reports were handed over to Setya’s wife, Deisti Astriani,” he said.

Setya Novanto’s legal team also refused to sign dispatch letter and the denial of the arrest report.
