TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A has officially landed in Indonesia. This 5.5 inch HD screen phone might look similar to the Redmi 4A at a glance, which we don’t blame you since the Note 5A is a direct successor of the Redmi 4A.
Even though the material of its shell is made of metal, there seems to be an aura of ‘plastic’ when touching its screen. Not that it’s a bad thing, it might just be different for other people. Overall, the phone is comfortable to hold on to.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A still features the capacitive button, meanwhile, its power and volume button is placed on its right side. On the top, there are the audio jack and infrared. Meanwhile, its card tray is positioned on its left side, which overall is quite similar to any android based smartphone.
After being absent for quite some time, the micro SD slot and the dual SIM card slots are positioned separately. Unfortunately, Xiaomi did not include a fingerprint sensor into their latest smartphone. That feature is replaced by a screen ‘double tap’ feature to unlock the screen.
The Indonesian version of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is only equipped with the 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory and runs on the latest MIUI 9 and the Snapdragon 425 chipset. The prime version with the Snapdragon 435 is not made available in Indonesia.
Its 3,080mAh battery can last day-and-night in a normal use of social media browsing and a playing games a few times can power the phone from 07:00 to 21:00 in a single charge.
