TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Eddy Kusuma Wijaya, a member of the Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR) said that a meeting will be held today with the National Police, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) to discuss the prosecution and handling of corruption cases.
“There should be a harmony in the implementation of the agenda of corruption eradication. We don’t want the agenda of eradicating corruption be taken advantage of for personal, political, power and economic purposes of any kind,” Eddy said today via a text message.
The meeting with police, the KPK and the AGO will be held at 10 pm Jakarta time at the parliamentary building.
Taufiqulhadi, a member of the DPR Legal Commission from the National Democrat (Nasdem) Party, said that the meeting is aimed at evaluating coordination mechanism between the three agencies in corruption eradication efforts. Even more so because they had signed an MoU on corruption eradication.
The DPR Legal Commission also plans to probe the three agencies on the effectiveness on the MoU.
