TEMPO.CO, Blitar - Two people died after having alcohol party in a small stall in Sumberasri Village, Blitar Regency, East Java, and the bodies are still in Mardi Waluyo General Hospital.
Blitar Police chief AKBP Heru Nugroho in Blitar on Friday, Sept. 29, stated that the police have initiated an investigation. Based on the preliminary investigation, the victims had consumed alcohol.
"We are still trying to get to the bottom of this. However, it is temporarily alleged that the victims consumed alcohol," he said.
The dead victims are the owner of the stall Dodik Setiawan (31) and Hadi Suwito (34) from Surabaya. They held a party in Dodik’s stall.
In addition to the dead victims, he continued, two other people also joined the party and they are still receiving intensive treatment in the hospital. Their conditions are not stable, and as a result, the police cannot question them.
The police are currently trying to find other witnesses while waiting for the two key witnesses stabilized. The police are still waiting for a medical team from Bhayangkara Hospital, Kediri, to perform an autopsy to the bodies of the victims.
