BRI Launches Banking Services for Indonesian Workers in Malaysia

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) worked together with Indonesia Embassy in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday (24/9) to launch Indonesian-Malaysia Worker Card (KPIM) intended to provide banking services to Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia.
BRI will issue KPIM that can be used by Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia to use banking services that include saving, using ATM, and e-banking.
"KPIM can also be used by Indonesian migrant workers in Malaysia as identity card and it contains employment-related information that can help Indonesian Embassy to manage the workers inMalaysia," BRI president director Suprajarto said in Kuala Lumpur.
This card is not only intended for Indonesian workers residing in Malaysia, but also for migrant worker candidates who are preparing to work in Malaysia.
