“Personnel has been deployed to maintain order, but they will not impose sanctions for motorists climbing the curbs,” Yani said at the National Monument on Thursday, August 17.
Yani added that the Satpol PP personnel were also involved in securing the commemoration of the Independence Day, as instructed by Jakarta Governor Djarot Saiful Hidayat.
“We’re just supporting the commemoration of the 72nd Anniversary of the Independence Day. No sanctions, just warnings,” Yani added.
According to Yani, the policy was only applied for one day. Starting tomorrow, the Satpol PP will continue to impose sanctions against motorists who violate Regional Regulation No. 8/2017.
