The port of Ipi was built in 2015, but it has not yet met the standards of a container port. However, the port is considered to have a huge potential to be docked by container ships and Pelni vessels.
The port’s geographical position enables large container ships to dock the port.
East Nusa Tenggara’s Regional Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Anwar Pua Geno, positively welcomes the plan and hopes that the project will be realized soon.
