Borneo Cultural Festival in Jakarta to be Attended by 4 Countries

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The 2017 Borneo Cultural Festival will be attended by participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei. The event will be held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII) on 28-30 July 2017.
This festival is a means of promotion and publication for the art and culture of the Dayak community. This event is planned to be opened by President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo.
“This is a representation of the richness of the local wisdom in the Dayak people, in the form of both Dayak art and culture imbued by the spirit of Bhineka Tunggal Ika (Unity in Diversity),” the chairman of the Cornelis National Dayak Adat Council said in a press release.
“This event is a means of promotion and publication for the art and culture of the Dayak community.”
The festival will feature the exhibition of impressive products of Borneo, Dayak art performances, a Dayak Cultural Parade and art from Borneo Art Carnival 2017 and a Kalimantan Investment Forum.
In addition, the Borneo Cultural Festival became an event for the Kalimantan Innovation Award 2017, Kalimantan Night and Fun 2017 along with a photography competition and a short film competition.
