West Java Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Yusri Yunus said that Yongki was arrested yesterday near his house in Sirnagalih Village, Bandung Regency.
"He knew about the plans and assembly of pressure cook bombs which was carried out by Agus Wiguna that was blown at Celengan Restaurant in Astana Anyar, a cafe on Jalan Braga and Buah Batu Church," Yusri said in a press statement received by Tempo yesterday.
Police learned that aside from targeting cafes and houses of prayer in Bandung, six terror suspects had planned to launch a pressure cooker bombing at Gelora Bandung Lautan Api Stadium in Bandung, according to Yusri. The plan was initiated in May this year.
"Yongki and Agus Wiguna had a meeting at which they planned to carry out amaliyah [terror attack] by Agus at Persib football stadium in Gedebage," the police said.
The police said that after the meeting, Agus assembled pressure cook bombs, one of which accidentally blew up at Agus’ rented property in Buah Batu.
"Agus said that he had bomb material weighing 3-5 kilograms stored in his rented property in Cidurian, Buah Batu," he said.
