Local Actor Ammar Zoni Arrested for Using Drugs

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Local soap opera actor Ammar Zoni has been tested positive for marijuana and crystal meth. The star of the Anak Langit soap opera was arrested by the Central Jakarta Police on Friday, July 7, 2017, at his residence in Depok, West Java.

During the arrest of Ammar Zoni, police found some evidence, including 39.1 grams of dried marijuana in a jar. Central Jakarta Police chief Sr. Comr. Suyudi Ario Seto said that his institution has identified the drug dealer with the initial BT.

“[BT] has been a target of our operation since several months ago,” Suyudi said on Monday, July 7, 2017.

However, Suyudi declined to reveal the current location of the drug dealer, fearing that he may run away.

Police investigators are still developing Ammar Zoni’s case to expose drug users among celebrities, particularly those who often spend time with Ammar Zoni.

Suyudi also refused to confirm whether BT is a local artist or regular citizen.
