TEMPO.CO, Yogyakarta - Yogyakarta Military District Command said it is gearing up for the visit of former US president Barack Obama and his family to Yogyakarta today, June 28.
"We have held a coordinated meeting to prepare for Barack Obama visit to Yogyakarta," military district commander Fajar Setyawan said yesterday in Yogyakarta.

The military, however, did not disclose the planned destinations for the former US president to visit. The coordinated meeting was attended by the Army, Air Force, Navy and the police.
The military also did not specify the number of security personnel to be deployed during Obama's visit to Yogyakarta. Nevertheless, the military will give special protection to several tourist destinations.
The 44th president of the United States Barack Obama arrived in Yogyakarta today and will spend his holiday there until June 30. He earlier visited Bali. Obama will later address the Indonesian Diaspora Congress in Jakarta on July 1.
