Police Name New Suspect on Terror Attack at Sumatra Police HQ

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police named one more suspect responsible for the attack at North Sumatra Police HQ. The new suspect has allegedly planned the series of attack that killed one police officer.
"There is one more suspect; from previously three to four persons," said National Police’s Public Information head Sr. Comr. Martinus Sitompul on a written statement on Tuesday, June 27.

The new suspect is Firmansyah Putra Yudi, 32 years-old. The other three suspects are Syawaluddin Pakpahan, Ardial Ramadhana (AR), and Hendry Pratama alias Boboy.
Syawal dan AR are known to have surveyed the location and conducted the attack on the North Sumatra police HQ. While Boboy only surveyed the spot at the exit of the police HQ.
The suspects will be charged under Article 6 and 7 of the Law on Criminal Acts of Terrorism and Article 340 of the Criminal Acts on Premeditated Murder.
The suspect with a sharp weapon attacked the North Sumatra police HQ on June 25 early morning. The attack has killed one police officer Adj. Insp. Martua Sigalingging.
