TEMPO.CO, Cirebon - The National Police’s Densus 88 counterterrorism squad on Sunday searched the homes of two men who attacked the North Sumatra Police guard post, killing an officer.
The two men attacked the police post at around 3 am Sunday, June 25. One of the men, AR, died after being shot by the police. Another attacker, SP, is in critical condition.

Because of the attack, a police officer, First Inspector Martua Sigalingging, died from a stab wound.
National Police spokesman Insp. Gen. Setyo Wasisto said that the police found a picture of ISIS' flag at SP's house, along with several items suggesting the attackers' support of the caliphate system.

Setyo revealed that the counterterrorism unit Special Detachment (Densus) 88 had earlier arrested 3 terror suspects on June 6. They allegedly had plotted an attack in Medan.
