Fire Razes Kebayoran Lama Market

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fire razes Kebayoran Lama Maret in South Jakarta at 1:30 am today. The fire took place at shop-houses, known as ruko, storing flammable materials.

South Jakarta Fire Department Unit had deployed 17 fire trucks at the scene. “The fire still rages, it’s not yet put out and we are handling it,” firefighter Sugeng Rianto told Tempo today.

Sugeng said that the causes of fire and the damages caused are not yet known.

It is the second fire took place at Kebayoran Lama Market this month. It earlier caught fire on June 13.
