TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi and King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden signed three memorandums of understanding (MoU) during a bilateral meeting held at the Bogor Palace. One of the MoUs is related to the free visa policy.
“I positively welcome the signing of free visa partnership for diplomatic purposes and state affairs,’ President Jokowi said during a press conference at the Bogor Palace today.
In addition to the free visa policy, President Jokowi and King Carl XVI Gustaf signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of air navigation development and airport construction.
The last MoU is related to cooperation in the creative industry development sector.
“A number of partnership agreements were signed in separate occasions, such as those in the fields of innovation, business, science park, and educational financing,” President Jokowi revealed.
In a separate occasion, King Carl XVI Gustaf said that Sweden is committed to maintaining the bilateral partnership with Indonesia.
King Carl XVI Gustaf expressed his optimism that the partnership between Indonesia and Sweden will be beneficial for both countries.
