Police Name 14 Suspects in Semarang Police Academy Cadet's Death

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Central Java Police named 14 people as suspects who caused the death of Second Police Brigadier Muhammad Adam, a police cadet of Police Academy Taruna, who died on Thursday (18/5). The suspects are the victim’s seniors in Semarang Police Academy.

“The investigation has led to name 14 suspects,” Central Java Police Chief Inspector General Condro Kirono said on Saturday evening (20/5).

Condro mentioned a suspect with the initial CAS as the prime suspect. “Because after the victim was hit by CAS, he collapsed. There was an attempt to help the victim, but he died when he was brought to the hospital,” Condro explained.

The result of investigation of Central Java Police led to other perpetrators with the initials RLW, GCN, EA, JED,MB, CAE,HA, AKU, GJN, RAP, RK, IZ and PDS. They played different roles in the case ranging from blowing punches, giving directions to keeping an eye to ensure Police Academy instructors were not aware of the assault. The assault took place in a warehouse of Flat A on the third floor.

All 14 suspects will be charged with murder under Article 170 subsidiary 351 paragraph 3 junto Article 55 and 56 of Criminal Law. In addition, 18 objects were confiscated as evidence. There were also cajuput oil, a fan and liniment found at the scene as the perpetrators tried to help the victim to regain consciousness.
