Rapper Iwa K Arrested for Carrying Marijuana

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport resort police on Saturday arrested rapper Iwa Kusuma known as Iwa K for allegedly carrying marijuana.

"It is true. He was arrested in Terminal 1B," said Chief of Anti Drug Unit of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport resort police Martua Silitonga in Tangerang on Saturday.

The police arrested Iwa, who was about to board Lion Air Flight Number JT-792 on Saturday at 5 am, Martua said.

He added that initially, the airport security officers checked on Iwa who allegedly carried three marijuana inside a cigarette package. The officers then handed the case to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport resort police for further investigation.

According to Martua, the police are now intensively questioning the rapper to find out those who gave the marijuana to Iwa.

The police have also asked a team at the National Police Forensic Laboratory Center to investigate the cigarette allegedly containing "THC" or marijuana.
