TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The corruption eradication commission (KPK) requested assistance from police to help capture House of Representatives member Miryam S Haryani who previously was named as a suspect. The anti-corruption agency considers her as a fugitive since she failed to appear in questioning session for twice.
“We also hope the public can provide us and the police any information regarding her whereabouts,” says Febri Diansyah today, April 27.

Febri explained that KPK named Miryam as a suspect since she is suspected to have committed perjury in the e-KTP graft court trial held a few weeks ago.
Miryam revoked her police report used for the trial and she also claimed to have been pressured by KPK investigators. She was named as a suspect on April 5 and the anti-graft agency summoned her on April 13 and 18 where she failed to appear.

“We’ve summoned her accordingly and we’ve also rescheduled the questioning sessions. We’ve issued a letter noting Miryam S as a fugitive and requested assistance from the police to capture her,” Febri said.
