Malaysia Deports 282 Undocumented Indonesian Migrant Workers

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Public Relations Division of the Immigration Directorate General of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Agung Sampurno said the Malaysian authority has deported as many as 282 undocumented Indonesian migrant workers.
"The migrant workers was deported on 22 March,” Agung said on Thursday.
He added that those migrant workers were deported from Pasir Gudang seaport in Johor Bahru Malaysia and arrived In Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia.
Before they were deported, Agung said those migrant workers were detained in a number of jails in Malaysia.
Agung further said the Immigration Directorate General continued to prevent undocumented migrant workers from looking for jobs abroad.
