Jokowi Calls for Co-op against Terrorism after London Attack

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi called for global cooperation against terrorism after London attack.
Jokowi said that he has received the report from Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi of the London terror attack. “Indonesia strongly condemns the manifestation of any kind of terror,” President Jokowi said today at Hang Nadim Airport on Riau Islands.
London terror attack left four dead and dozens wounded. Jokowi said that there are no Indonesians among the victims. “I would like to express my deepest condolences and sympathies to the victims of the act of terror in London,” the President said.
The President has called for international cooperation to fight terrorism. “Indonesia once again calls for large-scale international cooperation against terrorism,” he said.
According to the President, terrorism is a global challenge. “I believe that it should be addressed not only through law enforcement and security [measures] but also through cultural and religious approaches,” he said.
