TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - King Salman is scheduled to arrive in Halim Perdanakusuma airport, Jakarta, on Wednesday (01/03).
The total entourage of the king’s delegates and family reaches 1.500 people. After attending the official event from the first to the third of March, they will go on a holiday to Bali until March 9, 2017.
"They will bring seven wide-body aircrafts in one go, and this will slightly influence flight schedules to and from Bali," said Angkasa Pura I CEO Danang S. Baskoro when he attended the 53rd anniversary of the company in Bogor, West Java on Saturday (25/02).
Since VVIP security handling will be put to use, Danang mentioned that the airport has to be sterile an hour prior.
"It means there mustn’t be any other flight activities during the arrival of the entourage," he explained.
He added that he has briefed Angkasa Pura I General Manager for Denpasar to ensure that all security equipment is well-functioned and in place.
Danang claimed that such VVIP security handling is the same standard used for President Jokowi and guests of the state.
"This is a common sight. It already has a standard procedure, especially this time around the guests are from Saudi Arabia." Guests from other countries closer in distance than Saudi Arabia receive the same procedure, Danang added.
