TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo is scheduled to take part in the 2016 Archery Open Competition to be held in Bogor, West Java on Sunday (22/1).

The President is set to compete with 31 other participants in the category of General 30-Meter Archery.

"This competition will be held for three days, starting on 20 January and ending on 22 January,” said Bey Machmudin, Head of Press Bureacy of the Presidential Secretariat.

Bey added that archery is a sport that needs a high concentration; thus, in accordance with the committee, spectaors and journalists are asked not to disturb the concentration of the President and other participants during the competition.

President Jokowi has long expressed his intention to take part in the competition and has also made preparation by training in Bogor, West Java.
