TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police on Thursday night, January 19, arrested the man who allegedly carried the desecrated Indonesia's red-and-white flag during a rally staged by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) at the National Police Headquarters on Monday.

Jakarta Metro Police spokesman Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono confirmed that his agency has arrested a 20-year-old man, NF, in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta. He had joined the rally at the Police HQ, Argo said Friday, January 20. The police spokesman, however, could not confirm whether the man was an FPI member or not.
