ANTARA/Umarul Faruq

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A video footage showing a pilot loosing balance when walking during a checking process went viral on the internet. The pilot, who reportedly works for Citilink, also spoke confusedly before flying from Jakarta to Surabaya on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

Citilink spokesperson Benny S. Butarbutar said that the video could not be used as a credible evidence to make a policy.

"The most important thing is the Citilink Management has taken an assertive actions related to the incident on December 28 and replace the pilot with another one," Benny told Tempo on Thursday, December 29, 2016.

Benny had also dismissed the report saying that the pilot was drunk. Benny explained that the pilot was late for a flight and caused a 65-minute delay. Benny explained that the flight to Surabaya went well after the management replaced the pilot.

Benny added that the pilot had been taken to the airport’s clinic for an alcohol test, which showed negative results.

In the video, the pilot showed unusual gestures. He walked into the airport wearing sunglasses and was out of balance. From the entrance, the pilot continuously dropped his belongings.
