TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned railway company, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (PT KAI) Operation Area VIII, handed out roses to people that are present at the station, mothers in particular.
According to public relations officer, Gatut Sutiyatmoko, they did it to celebrate mother’s day which is nationally commemorated on December 22.
“We handed out a total of 1.000 roses,” Gatut said, on Thursday, December 22, 2016.
They called the event “One Thousand Dear Roses for Mother” which was PT KAI’s way in showing their appreciation to their loyal customers, especially mothers.
The roses were handed out in a number of stations, such as Surabaya Gubeng Station, Surabaya Pasarturi, Malang, Bojonegoro, Mojokerto, Wonokromo, and Sidoarjo Station.
Based on our observation, PT KAI employees themselves took to the field to hand-out the roses.
People present at the station appreciated PT KAI’s gesture.
