TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Rain that hit Manado, North Sulawesi province for three days in a row has caused floods and landslides in number of sub-districts in the city.
At least five people were also reportedly killed in both the floods and the landslide.
"A joint search and rescue team has found two victims, Miton Abdullah and his son Sergio. They were found dead,” said Head of National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho on Sunday.
In the meantime, Idrus Mangantar (20) was found dead after he was carried away by the floods. He was found in Singkil on Saturday.
Sutopo added that residents in Manado are urged to be vigilant against floods and landslides.
"Manado is prone to floods and landslides," Sutopo said.
