TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Since it was first operated in June 2015, the growth of traffic at Cikampek–Palimanan toll road, which spans 116 kilomters, has risen by an average of 10 percent per year.
The surge in traffic usually happens on weekends and long weekends.
Vice Director of infrastructure company managing the toll road PT Lintas Marga Sedaya (LMS) Hudaya Arryanto said that daily traffic at the toll road initially reached 23,000 vehicles per day and it rose into 27,000 vehicles per day in 2016.
“We see a growing trend since its operation. The growth is 10 percent on average,” Hudaya said on Friday.
He also estimated that during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, traffic at the toll road would rise into 70,000 vehicles using the road.
