TEMPO.CO, Jember - Hundred of houses in Jember Regency, East Java, were flooded after heavy rain caused water in the nearby river overflew and inundated the residents’ houses on Friday (2/12).
Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of Jember Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Heru Widagdo on Sunday said that the floods affected three sub-districts namely Wuluhan, Balung and Bangsalsari.
"Based on the date on the ground, at least 838 households in those three sub-districts were affected,” he said.
Heru added that the rain was recorded to be at 400-500 millimeter and those three sub-districts were badly affected.
