Police Plane Crashes in Riau Islands; 15 People Onboard

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A police plane with the type of M-28 Sky Truck crashed in waters near Lingga regency, Riau islands, Saturday (3/11).

The plane was reportedly carrying 15 people, consisting of 5 crews and 15 passengers.

"The plane took off from Pangkal Pinang, Bangka Belitung at around 9.24 am and headed to Batam Islands. The plane lost contact at around 10.15 am,” said Head of Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police Comr. Sr. Rikwanto on Saturday (3/11).

Rikwanto added that as of now, the fate of the passengers were not known yet.

Here’s the list of the passengers:
