TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The operator of Sudirman Central Business District (SCBD), Central Jakarta, has not step up security measures ahead of today’s planned rally, dubbed the Aksi Damai 212 (Peaceful Action 212) at the National Monument (Monas). The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) spokesman YUlianto Aji Sadono said that business activity at the SCBD had been running as usual.
“No [special] security measure, it’s the same [as usual],” Aji told Tempo on Friday, December 2. He said that he is not concerned with the Aksi Damai 212.
Aji said that more today’s situation is calmer compared to that of the November 4 (411) rally, during which the SCBD security was tightened. “It was stricter during 411 rally. It was difficult to enter SCBD,” he said.
“The trade is open. Some stock exchange members will also open for business,” Aji said. Anticipatory measure by cutting short working hours is only optional, he said. “Basically, business will run as usual today,”
